Wausau Man in Critical Condition After Crash

A man is hospitalized in critical condition following a Wausau motorcycle accident Thursday.

According to a statement released by officials with the Wausau Police Department, a motorcyclist ran a stop sign and crashed into a car on Wausau’s west side Thursday. Police say the 31 year-old motorcyclist went through a stop sign at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Thomas Street, causing the accident. As the biker entered the intersection he was broadsided by a car and thrown off his motorcycle.

The bikers name has not been released. Police say he was transported by ambulance to Wausau-Aspirus Hospital following the accident. He is listed in critical condition. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car was not seriously injured in the collision.
