Two men were injured Saturday in a Wausau car accident, according to police.

Officials with the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department said one man was partially ejected from a vehicle and another seriously injured in a two-car crash Saturday afternoon. Francois Duplooy, of Merrill, was traveling on Highway O when the crash occurred. Police say Duplooy failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and crashed into another car on Highway F.

Duplooy was ejected from his vehicle in the crash. His passenger, Kenneth Marquart, of Athens, was also injured in the crash. Both men were transported by ambulance to Wausau Aspirus Hospital, where they are listed in serious condition.

The drive of the other vehicle, 46 year-old Edwin Borchardt, also of Athens, sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
