Wausau Man Arrested in Antigo Hit-And-Run

A man from Wausau was arrested Saturday night in connection with a July 5 crash that left a bicyclist critically injured, police say.

According to officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol, the man, whose name was not released, is in the Langlade County Jail awaiting charges. A spokeswoman for the Aspirus Wausau Hospital said the bicyclist who was injured in the hit-and-run crash, Timothy Wissbroecker of Antigo, has been upgraded to fair condition.

The crash occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m. July 5 as Wissbroecker was riding his bicycle on Highway 64, about five miles west of Antigo, police say.
