Three people were taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a four-vehicle crash in Wausau, Wis., authorities said. Police said a vehicle was turning into a parking lot when another vehicle rear-ended it and swerved into oncoming traffic, hitting a truck. Another vehicle then hit the vehicle that was originally turning into the parking lot, authorities said.

Three people were transported by ambulance to the hospital, police said, and another person later went to the hospital complaining of back pain. One person in the crash was cited for inattentive driving, authorities said, and another was cited for failing to wear a seat belt.
