A woman avoided injury Thursday in a two-vehicle Wausau car accident.
According to officials with the Wausau Police Department, a 53 year-old man driving a Pontiac made an abrupt left turn into a driveway, crashing into a 53 year-old woman driving a Kia shortly after 3:30 p.m., just south of West Bridge Street. Police say the woman’s vehicle landed on its side on North Third Avenue.
According to Wausau Police Lieutenant Mark Pankow, the woman, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was checked out by paramedics and appeared to be unhurt. Officers at the scene were able to push her car back onto its side.
The driver of the Pontiac was not injured in the crash.
