A man is in the hospital following a Wausau motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials with the Wausau Police Department, the motorcyclist was stopped at the intersection of Ross Avenue and Camp Phillips Road shortly after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday when the crash occurred. Police say a woman in an SUV crashed into the man from behind. The woman was looking down at her MP3 player to change a song when she failed to see the motorcycle, according to Everest Metro patrol officer Tom Jourdan.
The woman was not injured in the crash, but was cited for inattentive driving, said Lt. Frank Wirzbanowski of the Everest Metro Police Department. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time, Jourdan said.
