The car accident took place right outside of Grantsburg, in the Town of Wood River. The teenager was driving on North Williams Road around 1 a.m. when she allegedly lost control of her vehicle. Her car was found upside down by police and emergency responders.

The Grantsburg High School senior died at the scene of the accident. Police are investigating the accident, but believe that speed could have played a large factor in the crash. No one else was in the vehicle with the student at the time.

The motorcyclist, a 48-year-old Hammond man, and his 47-year-old female passenger, were riding on the north side of 650th Street when they were hit by southbound pickup truck. The 54-year-old Beldenville truck driver was attempting to make an eastbound turn, when he drove directly into the motorcycle.

The impact of the motorcycle accident caused the individuals on the motorcycle to be ejected from the bike. They sustained serious injuries and had to be taken by helicopter to nearby hospitals. At the time of the collision, helmets were properly worn. The 47-year-old motorcycle passenger succumbed to her injuries a few hours after arriving at the hospital.

The 34-year-old man was driving on Ontario Avenue in Sheboygan, when he rear-ended the car in front of him. His wife and children were present in the vehicle at the time of the accident. While the police were interviewing the man, they noticed the smell of intoxicants on his breath. His BAC was 0.19 at the time of the incident.

He was charged with his 3rd OWI, and arrested. If convicted, he faces up to two years in jail, and several fines totaling $5,200. No one was injured in the crash, and the man’s wife and children were taken home by police.
